There is nothing better than having a sweet treat waiting in the freezer for whenever the craving hits. This brownie batter bark is so simple to make and tastes just like the real thing without all the extra sugar.

My best tip is to use high quality cocoa powder because it really makes the chocolate flavor shine. You can sprinkle a little sea salt on top before freezing to make the flavors pop even more.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy almond butter
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup mini dark chocolate chips
  • A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. 1

Line a small baking sheet or a flat plate with parchment paper so the bark does not stick.

  2. 2

In a medium bowl, stir together the almond butter, maple syrup, cocoa powder, and vanilla until the mixture is smooth and combined.

  3. 3

Spread the batter onto your prepared pan in an even layer about a quarter inch thick.

  4. 4

Sprinkle the top with mini dark chocolate chips and a tiny pinch of sea salt.

  5. 5

Place the pan in the freezer for at least two hours until it is completely firm.

  6. 6

Once frozen, break the bark into irregular pieces with your hands and enjoy.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store these pieces in an airtight container or a freezer bag inside your freezer for up to two weeks. Keep them cold until you are ready to eat as they will soften quickly at room temperature.
