This creamy chicken dish is famous for being so delicious that it might just win over anyone who tries it. It combines tender chicken breasts with a silky sauce made from sun dried tomatoes, garlic, and plenty of Parmesan cheese.

I love serving this because it feels fancy enough for a date night but is simple enough to put together in about thirty minutes. Make sure you use good quality sun dried tomatoes for the best flavor in every single bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, sliced into cutlets
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup chopped sun dried tomatoes
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1

Season the chicken cutlets on both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  3. 3

Cook the chicken until it is golden brown and cooked through, then remove it from the pan and set aside.

  4. 4

In the same pan, add the garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Cook for about one minute until fragrant.

  5. 5

Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

  6. 6

Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and sun dried tomatoes. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until it begins to thicken.

  7. 7

Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it in the creamy sauce.

  8. 8

Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Serve this chicken over a bed of pasta or mashed potatoes to soak up all the extra sauce. You can store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
