I always reach for this recipe when I want something comforting but don't want to spend all evening in the kitchen. Combining juicy chicken with melted Swiss cheese and salty ham on sweet Hawaiian rolls creates the perfect balance of flavors in every bite.

These sliders are a hit at parties or a simple weeknight dinner. If you want to save time, you can use store bought rotisserie chicken so the prep takes almost no effort at all.

Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 6 slices deli ham, folded
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly grease a 9 by 13 inch baking dish.

  2. 2

Slice the entire pack of rolls in half horizontally so you have one large slab of bottoms and one of tops.

  3. 3

Place the bottom slab of rolls into the prepared baking dish.

  4. 4

Layer the shredded chicken, slices of ham, and Swiss cheese evenly over the rolls.

  5. 5

Place the top slab of rolls over the cheese layer.

  6. 6

In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, poppy seeds, and garlic powder.

  7. 7

Brush this butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.

  8. 8

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.

  9. 9

Slice them into individual sliders and serve warm.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. Reheat them in the oven or air fryer to keep the rolls from getting soggy. These go great with a side of extra honey mustard for dipping.
