There is something so special about setting up a pie bar for a party or a casual family weekend. It takes the pressure off you as the host because your guests can mix and match their favorite flavors, toppings, and sauces just the way they like them.

My top tip is to use store bought pies to save time. Focus your energy on making a few homemade sauces or gathering colorful bowls filled with fresh berries and crushed nuts so the display looks extra inviting.

Ingredients

  • 2 pre baked fruit pies such as apple or cherry
  • 1 pre baked chocolate cream or silk pie
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. 1

Prepare the whipped cream by beating the heavy cream and powdered sugar together in a chilled bowl until soft peaks form.

  2. 2

Transfer the whipped cream to a nice serving bowl and keep it in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.

  3. 3

Slice your pies into neat wedges and arrange them on large platters or a wooden board.

  4. 4

Pour the caramel and hot fudge sauces into small pitchers or bowls with spoons.

  5. 5

Place the fresh berries, nuts, and chocolate chips into small serving dishes.

  6. 6

Set everything out on the table and let your guests assemble their own dessert plates.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store any leftover pies in the refrigerator covered tightly with plastic wrap to keep the crust fresh. If you want to keep the whipped cream stable for longer, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract while whipping. This bar works great for any holiday gathering or birthday party.
