Easy Marinated London Broil
A simple and flavorful recipe for a perfectly tender London Broil that tastes like it came from a fancy steakhouse.
dailyrecipesbook.comLondon Broil is one of my favorite dinners because it is such an affordable cut of meat that turns out incredibly delicious with the right marinade. The secret is letting the beef soak up all those savory juices before it hits the hot grill or broiler.
My biggest tip for this recipe is to remember to slice the meat against the grain. This makes every single bite tender and easy to chew, which makes a big difference with this specific cut of beef.
Ingredients
- 2 pound London Broil steak
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- 1
Whisk together the soy sauce, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, honey, oregano, and black pepper in a small bowl.
- 2
Place the steak in a large glass baking dish or a zip top bag and pour the marinade over it until well coated.
- 3
Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least four hours, though overnight is best for the deepest flavor.
- 4
Remove the steak from the marinade and let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before cooking.
- 5
Preheat your oven broiler to high or get your outdoor grill nice and hot.
- 6
Cook the steak for about 5 to 7 minutes per side for medium rare, or until it reaches your preferred level of doneness.
- 7
Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest on a cutting board for at least 10 minutes.
- 8
Slice the meat thinly against the grain and serve immediately.
๐ก Tips
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. This steak tastes wonderful cold on a salad for lunch the next day. Make sure you let the meat rest after cooking so the juices stay inside.
