Cheesecake in a jar is one of my favorite ways to satisfy a sweet tooth because it is so quick to put together. Since there is no oven involved, you can whip these up on a hot day or when you need a fast treat for guests.

You can customize these jars with whatever fruit or toppings you happen to have in your pantry. A quick tip is to make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature so you can get that signature smooth and creamy texture without any lumps.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup fresh berries or fruit preserves for topping

Instructions

  1. 1

Mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a small bowl until the mixture looks like wet sand.

  2. 2

Divide the crumb mixture between four small glass jars and press it down gently with the back of a spoon.

  3. 3

In a separate large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the sugar and vanilla until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

  4. 4

In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until it forms stiff peaks.

  5. 5

Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until everything is well combined.

  6. 6

Spoon or pipe the cheesecake filling into the jars on top of the crust layer.

  7. 7

Top each jar with fresh berries or a spoonful of your favorite fruit preserves.

  8. 8

Place the jars in the refrigerator for at least one hour to chill before serving.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store these jars in the refrigerator for up to three days. For the best presentation, wait to add the fresh fruit topping until just before you are ready to serve.
