There is something so satisfying about a warm, cheesy slider when you need a quick meal or a crowd pleasing snack for game day. These sandwiches are incredibly simple to put together, but the buttery garlic topping makes them taste like they came straight from a gourmet deli.

My best tip is to use high quality deli roast beef to ensure every bite stays tender. If you want a little extra zing, feel free to add a thin layer of horseradish sauce under the cheese before you bake them.

Ingredients

  • 12 count package of Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 pound thinly sliced deli roast beef
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly grease a 9 by 13 inch baking dish.

  2. 2

Keep the rolls connected as a block and slice them horizontally in half so you have a top slab and a bottom slab.

  3. 3

Place the bottom slab of rolls into your prepared baking dish.

  4. 4

Layer the roast beef evenly over the bottom rolls, then cover the beef with the Swiss cheese slices.

  5. 5

Place the top slab of rolls over the cheese.

  6. 6

In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, poppy seeds, and onion powder until well combined.

  7. 7

Pour or brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls.

  8. 8

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the tops are golden brown.

  9. 9

Separate the sliders with a knife and serve them while they are warm.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

These sliders taste best right out of the oven. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat them in the oven at 300 degrees to keep the rolls from getting soggy.
