If you are looking for a simple dinner that is packed with flavor, these Greek style chicken meatballs are a favorite in my house. They come together quickly and stay incredibly moist, making them a perfect choice for busy weeknights when you want something fresh and satisfying.

I love serving these alongside fluffy rice and a big scoop of cool tzatziki. If you want to keep things light, they also work beautifully in a Mediterranean bowl with plenty of fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, and kalamata olives.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Additional olive oil for searing

Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat your oven to 400°F.

  2. 2

In a large bowl, lightly whisk the egg.

  3. 3

Add the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, chopped mint, olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to the bowl.

  4. 4

Mix everything together gently with a spoon until just combined.

  5. 5

Shape the mixture into 20 to 22 meatballs, roughly 1.5 inches in size.

  6. 6

Place the meatballs into a large ovenproof skillet with a drizzle of olive oil. Turn the heat to medium high and sear the meatballs for about 3 minutes until the bottoms are nicely browned.

  7. 7

Transfer the skillet directly to the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

💡 Tips

Store your leftover meatballs in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. When you are ready to eat, reheat them gently in a 350°F oven or in a skillet with a splash of water to keep them juicy. These also pair perfectly with warm pita bread or a crisp Greek salad.
