There is something so satisfying about the classic taste of a Big Mac, but sometimes a burger feels a bit too heavy. This salad gives you that same delicious experience with seasoned beef, crunchy pickles, and that iconic tangy sauce, all served over a bed of crisp lettuce.

It is a total crowd pleaser that comes together much faster than a trip to the drive thru. My best tip is to let the dressing sit in the fridge for a little while before serving so all those flavors can really come together.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup finely diced white onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, vinegar, and paprika until smooth to create the dressing.

  2. 2

Place a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, then stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  3. 3

Drain any excess fat from the skillet and set the beef aside to cool slightly.

  4. 4

In a large serving bowl, arrange the shredded lettuce as the base.

  5. 5

Top the lettuce with the cooked ground beef, tomatoes, diced onion, chopped pickles, and shredded cheese.

  6. 6

Drizzle the prepared dressing over the top, toss everything together, and serve immediately.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store the dressing in a separate airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. If you plan on having leftovers, keep the meat and vegetables stored separately from the lettuce so everything stays fresh and crunchy.
