Honey garlic chicken thighs are a staple in my house because they are so simple to pull together after a long day. The chicken stays incredibly tender while the sauce thickens into a beautiful glaze that tastes amazing over a bowl of steamed rice.

My best tip is to keep a close eye on the pan when the sauce starts to bubble. The honey can burn quickly, so stir it often and pull the pan off the heat as soon as the sauce looks shiny and thick.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  3. 3

Add the chicken to the pan and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.

  4. 4

In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and oregano.

  5. 5

Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the chicken.

  6. 6

Let the sauce simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until it reduces and coats the chicken in a nice sticky glaze.

  7. 7

Remove from the heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Serve these thighs alongside steamed broccoli or a fresh garden salad to balance out the sweetness. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days and reheat them gently in a pan.
