There is nothing quite like firing up the grill when the weather turns warm. This maple rosemary chicken is a absolute favorite because the marinade hits the perfect balance of savory and sweet, keeping the meat juicy and flavorful every single time you cook it.

It is a versatile recipe that works just as well for a quick family dinner as it does for a big weekend barbecue. If you have extra marinade, feel free to use it on shrimp or vegetables to make the most of those fresh garden flavors.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, olive oil, fresh rosemary, minced garlic, and black pepper.

  2. 2

Place the chicken breasts in a large zip top bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them.

  3. 3

Seal the bag or cover the dish, then let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least two hours or up to overnight.

  4. 4

Preheat your outdoor grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grates.

  5. 5

Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on the grill.

  6. 6

Cook for about six to eight minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

  7. 7

Remove from the heat and let the chicken rest for five minutes before serving.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store any leftover chicken in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. You can serve this hot off the grill with a side of fresh salad, or slice it cold to place on top of a bed of mixed greens for a quick lunch.
