There is something special about a burger that brings all those addictive flavors together. This recipe is a favorite in my house because the combination of crispy bacon, melted cheddar, and that tangy ranch kick creates a burger that disappears from the plate in record time.

My top tip for this one is to make sure your pan is nice and hot before you add the patties. Getting a good sear on the outside is the secret to keeping all those delicious juices trapped inside.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 4 slices thick cut bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon dried chives
  • Lettuce and tomato for serving

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and half of the ranch seasoning to make your crack sauce. Set this aside in the fridge while you cook.

  2. 2

Gently mix the ground beef with the remaining ranch seasoning in a bowl and form it into four equal patties.

  3. 3

Cook the patties in a large skillet or on a grill over medium high heat for about four to five minutes per side, or until they reach your preferred level of doneness.

  4. 4

Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking so it gets perfectly melted.

  5. 5

Toast your burger buns lightly, then spread the crack sauce on both sides.

  6. 6

Assemble your burgers by placing the beef patty on the bun, topping with a slice of crispy bacon, lettuce, and tomato.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

These burgers taste best when served immediately while the cheese is still melty. You can store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
