There is something about a plate of classic deviled eggs that makes any gathering feel special. They are simple to make, yet they always impress guests with their rich and tangy flavor profile.

My favorite trick for the perfect filling is to mash the yolks very well with a fork before adding the mayo so you avoid any lumps. A little sprinkle of paprika on top makes them look professional and festive.

Ingredients

  • 6 large hard boiled eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Paprika for dusting
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1

Peel the hard boiled eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.

  2. 2

Carefully pop the yolks out of the whites and place the yolks into a small mixing bowl.

  3. 3

Mash the yolks with a fork until they are smooth and free of large chunks.

  4. 4

Stir in the mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until the mixture is creamy and smooth.

  5. 5

Spoon the yolk mixture into the hollows of the egg white halves, or use a piping bag for a fancier look.

  6. 6

Sprinkle the tops with paprika and fresh parsley before serving.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. For the best presentation, wait until just before serving to add the fresh parsley garnish.
