Classic Seven Layer Party Dip
A crowd pleasing chilled dip that features delicious layers of creamy beans, fresh toppings, and plenty of cheese.
dailyrecipesbook.comThis seven layer dip is a staple at every gathering I host. It is incredibly easy to put together because there is no cooking required, and it always disappears from the table within minutes.
My best tip for this recipe is to make it a few hours before your guests arrive. Letting it sit in the fridge helps the flavors meld together and makes the dip much easier to scoop with crunchy tortilla chips.
Ingredients
- 1 can refried beans
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup prepared guacamole
- 1 cup salsa, drained
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons sliced black olives
- 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions
- 1
Spread the refried beans in an even layer across the bottom of a medium serving dish.
- 2
In a small bowl, mix the sour cream with the taco seasoning until well combined.
- 3
Carefully spread the seasoned sour cream over the layer of refried beans.
- 4
Top the sour cream with an even layer of guacamole.
- 5
Spread the drained salsa over the guacamole.
- 6
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the salsa.
- 7
Finish by garnishing the dip with the sliced black olives and chopped green onions.
- 8
Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving with tortilla chips.
๐ก Tips
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. If your salsa is extra watery, be sure to drain it well so your dip stays firm and does not get runny. Serve this with sturdy corn tortilla chips for the best results.
