I love making these cottage cheese overnight oats because they are the perfect way to get a solid boost of protein without needing to use any protein powder. The cottage cheese blends perfectly into the oats, making them incredibly thick and satisfying for hours.

Since this takes just a couple of minutes to stir together the night before, it is my favorite breakfast for busy mornings. If you find the texture of cottage cheese a bit chunky, you can always give it a quick whirl in your blender before mixing it with the oats.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk of your choice
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Fresh berries for topping

Instructions

  1. 1

Add the rolled oats, cottage cheese, milk, chia seeds, sweetener, and vanilla to a mason jar or a small container.

  2. 2

Stir everything together until it is well combined.

  3. 3

Cover the container tightly and place it in the refrigerator overnight or for at least four hours.

  4. 4

Give the oats a quick stir in the morning and add your favorite fresh berries on top before serving.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

You can store these in the fridge for up to three days, so feel free to double the batch for a few days of breakfast. If the oats look a little too thick in the morning, just add a splash of milk and stir it in before eating.
