We have all been there. You walk into the kitchen ready to cook dinner, only to realize the chicken is still frozen solid in the freezer. Instead of ordering takeout, you can simply toss them into the air fryer for a juicy result that cooks perfectly every single time.

This recipe is a lifesaver on busy weeknights. The light barbecue glaze adds just the right amount of sweetness and keeps the meat tender while it cooks through without any prep work.

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. 2

Brush the frozen chicken breasts with olive oil and sprinkle them with the garlic powder and salt.

  3. 3

Place the chicken in the air fryer basket and cook for 15 minutes.

  4. 4

Open the basket and brush the barbecue sauce over the top of the chicken breasts.

  5. 5

Cook for another 5 to 10 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

  6. 6

Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing so the juices stay inside.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. This chicken is great sliced over a fresh salad or served with a side of roasted vegetables for a quick meal.
