Easy Cheesy Refried Bean Dip
This creamy and warm bean dip is the perfect crowd pleasing snack for your next get together.
dailyrecipesbook.comThere is nothing quite like a warm bowl of cheesy refried bean dip when friends drop by. It is one of those simple recipes that tastes like you spent much longer in the kitchen than you actually did.
My favorite trick for this dip is to serve it in a small cast iron skillet. It keeps the cheese nice and bubbly while you pass around the bowl of tortilla chips.
Ingredients
- 1 can of refried beans
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 bag of tortilla chips for serving
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 2
In a medium mixing bowl, stir together the refried beans, sour cream, salsa, chili powder, and garlic powder until smooth.
- 3
Transfer the mixture into a small baking dish or a cast iron skillet.
- 4
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- 5
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 6
Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve immediately with plenty of crunchy tortilla chips.
π‘ Tips
If you want a little extra heat, stir in a chopped jalapeΓ±o before baking. You can store any leftovers in the fridge for up to three days and reheat them in the microwave. This dip is also delicious served with fresh vegetable sticks like bell peppers or carrots.
