Fresh Pineapple Salsa
A bright and zesty salsa that brings a touch of sweetness to any meal.
dailyrecipesbook.comThis pineapple salsa is a favorite in my kitchen because it balances sweet fruit with a little bit of heat. It is incredibly simple to toss together and always adds a refreshing pop of color to the dinner table.
I love serving this alongside grilled fish or tacos, but it is just as good with a simple bowl of tortilla chips. For the best flavor, try to use a really ripe pineapple that smells sweet and fragrant.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh pineapple, finely diced
- 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
- 1
Combine the diced pineapple, red onion, cilantro, and minced jalapeño in a medium mixing bowl.
- 2
Drizzle the lime juice over the mixture and add a small pinch of salt.
- 3
Toss everything together gently until well combined.
- 4
Let the salsa sit for about ten minutes before serving so the flavors have a chance to meld together.
💡 Tips
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. If you prefer a milder salsa, be sure to remove all the seeds and white membranes from the jalapeño before chopping.
