High Protein S’mores Overnight Oats
Enjoy the classic flavors of a campfire s’mores treat in a healthy bowl of oats that is perfect for a quick morning breakfast.
dailyrecipesbook.comThere is something special about the combination of chocolate and marshmallow that makes breakfast feel like a treat. These oats are wonderful because you can prepare them the night before and grab them right out of the fridge when you are ready to start your day.
Since this recipe packs in plenty of protein, it will keep you feeling full until lunch time. I recommend using a high quality chocolate protein powder to get that deep cocoa flavor that makes these oats taste just like a dessert.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 3/4 cup milk of your choice
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon mini chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon mini marshmallows
- 1 graham cracker, crushed
Instructions
- 1
Combine the rolled oats, protein powder, chia seeds, milk, and maple syrup in a mason jar or a small bowl.
- 2
Stir everything well until the protein powder is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
- 3
Cover the container and place it in the refrigerator for at least four hours, or ideally overnight, to let the oats soften.
- 4
When you are ready to eat, stir the oats one more time and add a splash of milk if you prefer a thinner texture.
- 5
Top your oatmeal with the mini chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and the crushed graham cracker right before serving.
💡 Tips
You can store these in the fridge for up to three days, but wait to add the graham crackers until just before serving so they stay nice and crunchy. If you want an extra treat, you can toast the marshmallows briefly before adding them to the bowl.
