Homemade Cheesy Garlic Bread
This comforting cheesy bread features a buttery garlic spread and golden bubbly cheese that everyone loves.
dailyrecipesbook.comThere is nothing quite like pulling a fresh loaf of cheesy garlic bread out of the oven. It is the perfect side dish for pasta night, or you can just enjoy it on its own as a warm and gooey snack.
My secret to the best flavor is using real butter and fresh garlic. If you want an extra kick, feel free to add a sprinkle of dried parsley or red pepper flakes before you slide the bread into the oven.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread or sourdough, cut in half lengthwise
- 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 2
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley until smooth.
- 3
Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
- 4
Place the bread on a baking sheet and sprinkle the mozzarella and parmesan cheeses over the top.
- 5
Bake for about 10 to 12 minutes until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- 6
Turn the oven to broil for 1 or 2 minutes if you want the cheese to get a little extra golden brown.
- 7
Slice into pieces and serve warm.
๐ก Tips
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. Reheat the bread in the oven or a toaster oven to get the edges crispy again instead of using the microwave.
