Maui Style Fresh Guacamole
This creamy and zesty guacamole is the perfect crowd pleasing dip for any occasion.
dailyrecipesbook.comI picked up this recipe while visiting Maui from a local who insisted it was the only way to make guacamole. The secret is keeping it simple and using the ripest avocados you can find.
It is incredibly fresh and takes just a few minutes to put together. I love serving this at weekend get togethers because it disappears faster than anything else on the table.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe avocados
- 1/2 small red onion, finely diced
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- 1
Slice the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
- 2
Use a fork to mash the avocados until you reach your desired consistency, whether you like it chunky or smooth.
- 3
Fold in the diced red onion, cilantro, minced jalapeño, lime juice, and salt.
- 4
Stir everything gently until well combined and taste to see if it needs a little extra salt.
- 5
Serve immediately with your favorite tortilla chips or vegetable sticks.
💡 Tips
To keep your guacamole from turning brown, press a piece of plastic wrap directly onto the surface before refrigerating. If you have leftovers, they will stay fresh in the fridge for about one day. Serve with warm tortilla chips for the best experience.
