Easy Ham and Cheese Sliders
These quick and cheesy sliders are a family favorite that brings everyone to the table.
dailyrecipesbook.comThere is nothing quite like a warm slider to make a simple meal feel special. I love making these for game nights or busy weeknights when I need something satisfying that the whole family will enjoy without a lot of fuss.
The secret is the butter sauce brushed on top of the rolls. It soaks into the bread while baking and makes the top golden and savory. If you have extra time, let the assembled sliders sit for ten minutes before putting them in the oven so the butter can really soak in.
Ingredients
- 1 package of 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1 pound deli ham, thinly sliced
- 6 slices swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 2
Keep the rolls connected as a block and slice the entire pack in half horizontally to create a top and bottom layer.
- 3
Place the bottom half of the rolls into a lightly greased baking dish.
- 4
Layer the ham slices evenly over the bottom rolls, then cover the ham with the slices of swiss cheese.
- 5
Place the top half of the rolls back on top of the cheese.
- 6
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and poppy seeds.
- 7
Brush this butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.
- 8
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
- 9
Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
- 10
Separate the sliders with a knife and serve warm.
๐ก Tips
Store any leftover sliders in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. They reheat beautifully in the oven at 300 degrees until warmed through. Serve these alongside a fresh garden salad to round out the meal.
