Simple Everyday Garden Salad
A fresh and crunchy salad that makes the perfect side dish for any meal.
dailyrecipesbook.comThere is something so satisfying about a crisp garden salad that comes together in just a few minutes. I love keeping this one simple so the fresh flavor of the vegetables really shines through.
My best tip for the best salad is to make sure your lettuce is completely dry after washing. If the leaves are wet, the dressing will just slide right off instead of coating them perfectly.
Ingredients
- 6 cups mixed salad greens
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1
Wash and dry your greens thoroughly, then place them in a large serving bowl.
- 2
Add the cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, and red onion to the bowl with the greens.
- 3
In a small glass jar or bowl, whisk together the olive oil, apple cider vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- 4
Pour the dressing over the salad just before serving and toss everything gently to ensure the vegetables are evenly coated.
๐ก Tips
Store any leftover dressing in the fridge for up to one week. If you plan to have leftovers, store the salad and dressing separately so the greens do not get soggy.
