I love making these cookies when I want something sweet but healthy. They are naturally sweetened with bananas and have a lovely chewy texture that everyone in my house enjoys.

You can make these in a flash since they do not need any flour or eggs. For the best flavor, make sure your bananas are very spotty and ripe because that is where the natural sweetness comes from.

Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until they are completely smooth and liquidy.

  3. 3

Add the peanut butter and quick oats to the bowl and stir until a thick dough forms.

  4. 4

Scoop about one tablespoon of dough at a time, roll it into a ball, and place it on your prepared baking sheet.

  5. 5

Use your thumb or the back of a small spoon to press a deep well into the center of each cookie ball.

  6. 6

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until the cookies feel firm to the touch.

  7. 7

Remove them from the oven and immediately place a few chocolate chips into each center so they melt into a smooth filling while the cookies cool.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store these cookies in an airtight container in the fridge to keep them fresh for up to five days. You can also swap the peanut butter for almond butter or sunflower seed butter if you have a nut allergy at home.
