If you love Oreos as much as I do, this cheesecake is going to be your new favorite dessert. It is the perfect combination of a buttery cookie crust, a velvety smooth cheesecake filling, and an extra layer of chocolatey goodness.

I love making this for parties because it always looks professional, yet it is surprisingly simple to put together. You do not need any complicated water baths for this one, which makes the whole process stress free and fun.

Ingredients

  • 20 Oreo cookies for the crust
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 24 ounces brick style cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 15 whole Oreo cookies for the filling layer
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F and grease a springform pan.

  2. 2

Crush the 20 Oreo cookies into fine crumbs and mix them with the melted butter in a bowl. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom and slightly up the sides of your pan, then chill it in the fridge for 20 minutes.

  3. 3

In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth, then mix in the sugar, flour, and salt.

  4. 4

Add the eggs one at a time on low speed, then stir in the sour cream and vanilla until just combined.

  5. 5

Pour half of the batter into your prepared crust, arrange a layer of whole Oreos on top, and cover them with the remaining batter.

  6. 6

Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until the edges are set but the center still has a slight wobble.

  7. 7

Turn off the oven and leave the door slightly ajar for one hour to let the cheesecake cool gradually, then cool at room temperature for two hours before refrigerating overnight.

  8. 8

For the ganache, heat the heavy cream until hot and pour it over the chocolate chips. Let it sit for a minute, then stir until smooth and drizzle over the chilled cake.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

To get perfectly clean slices, run your knife under hot water and wipe it dry between every cut. Keep your leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or wrap the cake tightly in plastic wrap to freeze it for up to a month.
