Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 1/4 teaspoons dried dill, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dill pickle popcorn seasoning
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 5 tablespoons melted unsalted butter, divided
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2/3 cup roughly chopped dill pickles
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9 by 5 inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- 2
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, 1 teaspoon of the dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and the dill pickle seasoning.
- 3
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and 4 tablespoons of the melted butter.
- 4
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- 5
Gently fold in the shredded cheese and chopped pickles.
- 6
Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- 7
While the bread bakes, mix the remaining 1/4 teaspoon of dried dill with the last tablespoon of melted butter.
- 8
Once the bread is out of the oven, brush the dill butter over the top of the warm loaf and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
💡 Tips
Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days, or wrap the loaf tightly in plastic wrap and freeze it for up to one month. For the best flavor, lightly toast your slices before serving with butter.
