Air fryer steak is one of my favorite ways to get a restaurant quality meal at home without needing a grill. It is so convenient for those busy weeknights when you want something special but do not want to spend hours in the kitchen.

My top tip for this recipe is to make sure you let the steak rest for a few minutes after cooking. This keeps all those delicious juices inside where they belong, ensuring every single bite is tender and full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks, about 1 inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter, softened
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1

Take your steaks out of the fridge about 30 minutes before cooking so they reach room temperature.

  2. 2

Pat the steaks dry with paper towels to help get a nice crust.

  3. 3

Rub the steaks with olive oil and season both sides evenly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  4. 4

Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

  5. 5

Place the steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer.

  6. 6

Cook for 8 to 12 minutes depending on your desired level of doneness, flipping halfway through.

  7. 7

While the steak cooks, mix the softened butter with the minced garlic and fresh parsley.

  8. 8

Remove the steaks from the air fryer and top them immediately with the garlic herb butter.

  9. 9

Let the meat rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Serve this steak alongside roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal. If you have leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days and slice them thin for a sandwich or salad topper the next day.
