Fall Off The Bone Oven Baked BBQ Ribs
These tender ribs are slow cooked in the oven until they practically fall off the bone.
Nothing beats the taste of smoky, tender ribs during a summer barbecue. This simple method ensures you get perfectly juicy results every single time without having to stand over a hot grill all day long.
My favorite trick for getting the meat extra tender is to remove the tough membrane from the back of the ribs before you start. It makes a huge difference in how the seasoning soaks in.
Ingredients
- 2 racks of pork baby back ribs
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 275 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 2
Remove the thin membrane from the back of the rib racks using a butter knife to get it started, then pull it off with a paper towel.
- 3
Mix the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl to create your dry rub.
- 4
Massage the rub all over both sides of the ribs until they are well coated.
- 5
Place the ribs on a large piece of heavy duty aluminum foil and seal the edges tightly to create a packet.
- 6
Place the foil packet on a baking sheet and bake for about 3 hours or until the meat is very tender.
- 7
Carefully open the foil, brush the ribs generously with your barbecue sauce, and bake uncovered for another 15 minutes to let the sauce get sticky.
- 8
Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing them between the bones to serve.
๐ก Tips
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. You can reheat them in the oven at 300 degrees with a splash of water to keep them from drying out. Serve these with extra barbecue sauce on the side for dipping.
